This dramatic black Eastern Oyster is set on the backdrop of rich cream. I love the contrast of the two. The arches of the rings show so much growth this shell had to make. The actual oyster is actually pretty thin and smooth to the touch. I remember walking along with it in my hand and rubbing it like a prayer stone. I walked and prayed and marveled at God’s creativity. Thanking Him that the shell washed up on the sandy shore. A gift for me to find and reflect.

My hope is that when it hangs on your wall you will  take time to pause and remember and lift up praises and gratefulness of another day.
